Should teachers hold themselves accountable for dismantling racism?
All readers welcome! Learn from and explore themes of education, representation, and Latinx students in the book “Learning from Latino Teachers” by Gilda L. Ochoa. The study is “BYO book” and readers will independently read selected chapters before our meeting each week. Together, we’ll discuss one section of 4-5 chapters via Zoom conferencing. Our schedule includes:
- June 1: “Background” Chapters 1-3
- June 8: “Family & School” Chapters 4-6
- June 15: “Improving Outcomes for Latino/a Students” Chapters 7-9
- June 22: Conclusion & Discussion with the Author, Gilda L. Ochoa
