RESOURCES
We're IN THIS TOGETHER

The Latinx Education Collaborative explores ways to continue building community with educators and finding innovative ways to support our members. We are committed to continuing to offer the resources below.

VIRTUAL CHECK INS

The LEC knows that our current situation is full of uncertainty and there are more questions than answers. Susana Elizarraraz, Deputy Director is available to virtually connect with you for one-on-one sessions. These check-ins can be about school, students, or anything else on your mind. The LEC is actively communicating with our network of teachers across the nation and can share other methods of how to cope with this situation. Schedule a 30-minute phone or Zoom video conference

Resources for right now

We know there’s lots of information out there, so LEC is accumulating a comprehensive list of resources for students, parents, and educators, that will be updated daily. We’re also planning on providing Spanish-language resources as they become available.

LEC DESIGN THINKING CURRICULUM

With a majority of students being at-home and out of the classrooms, LEC is providing online access to our design-thinking experience, “The Pipeline”. This 6 lesson curriculum developed in partnership with "Below the Fold", it can be accessed virtually and is appropriate for students grades 4 through 8. “The Pipeline” is a unique opportunity to teach students about design thinking and promote education as a viable career option. The six lesson curriculum presents a perfect remote learning or at-home learning experience.

SOLIDARITY SEGMENTS

In solidarity with social distance recommendations, our social media pages will be dedicated to virtual ways of connecting you to national education thought leaders for your continued personal and professional development. If you don’t already, connect with LEC on our social media pages!
