Latinx Educator Awards

Latinx Educators Awards celebrates the work of all Latinx Education Professionals. In 2021, the LEC honored professionals nominated by a peer who have demonstrated a commitment to one or more of the LEC core values: Community, Authenticity, Personal Growth, Impact, & Integrity.

LEC CORE VALUES

COMMUNITY: Evolucíon Latinx Educators conference is offered each year, and brings together educational thought-leaders, teachers, administrators of color, and allies. Check out the 2021 program below.
AUTHENTICITY: Nominee shares, shows, and embraces their full humanity.
PERSONAL GROWTH: Nominee seeks and participates in culturally competent professional and leadership development opportunities to improve their craft.
IMPACT: Nominee supports their students in improving their educational outcomes and bettering themselves.
INTEGRITY: Nominee demonstrates the ability to listen and learn from others while hold space for their ideas and beliefs.

AWARD REQUIREMENTS

Educator of the Year

This is the heading

Must serve in an educator role (teacher, paraprofessional, instruction coach, etc.)

Administrator of the Year

This is the heading

Must serve in an administrator role (assistant principal, principal, superintendent, etc.)

Future Educator of the Year

This is the heading

Must be a college student pursuing a career in education

Aspiring Educator of the Year

This is the heading

Must be a high school student interested in becoming an educator

School Volunteer of the Year

This is the heading

Must be in a volunteer position supporting a school or district (PTA, school board member, afterschool club leader, etc.)
