U.S. Outreach Internship @ Unbound

SUMMARY: Support the US Outreach department through research and general office tasks while gaining a deeper understanding of Unbound’s work, including a one-week international travel experience.


  • Unique experience in an international non-profit
    • Develop an understanding of Unbound’s work and unique sponsorship approach
    • Field experience – international travel (7 days)
    • Fundraising experience (Suggested $1000)
  • Identify a challenge for the organization; create and present a solution
  • Resume builders
    • Data base work
    • Microsoft Suite skills
    • Problem solving
    • Juggling multiple projects/multi-tasking
    • Email / Digital marketing
  • Access to mentors you can learn form
  • Participate in meetings and understand strategy development
  • Engage in a culture that reflects your values  
  • Exposure to non-profit culture and structure


  • Data entry in Unbound database (CASA)
  • Letter translation review (Spanish/English)
  • Assembly of Ambassador Toolkits
  • Stocking and mailing materials
  • Bounce backs and logging emails, other email work
  • Other duties as assigned (may include: phone calls, assisting at information tables, organizing,


  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required. Preferred 2+ years of university credits
  • Strong written and verbal communication proficiency
  • Combined familiarity of both Windows-based computers and Microsoft Office suite of software
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills; able to work well in a group and respond positively to feedback
  • Commitment to quality while being a good steward of resources
  • Professional and motivated; able to adapt and stay on task while managing multiple projects

Preferred Qualifications: Bilingual in Spanish and English; interest/coursework in global issues and non-profit work.
